GETTING THERE

We recommend flying to Guarulhos Airport (GRU) in São Paulo.

Ubatuba is about 200km from São Paulo. We understand this is not the most convenient location for those travelling from another country; thus, if you need help arranging transportation from the airport to the wedding venue, let us know as soon as possible.

If you are driving, we recommend using booking apps such as Skyscanner or Kayak to find better deals on car rentals. You can rent a car in Brazil using your foreign passport and a valid driver's license. We can assist you with the best routes and parking lot at the site.
The traffic in Brazil (especially in São Paulo) can be heavy at times, and some of the roads are rough. Be aware of that when planning your drive to Ubatuba.

WHERE TO STAY

The wedding venue is at a beach called Praia Vermelha do Norte, in the north of Ubatuba.
Some locations we recommend:

Itamambuca Beach: We are staying there at a place called Itamambuca Eco Resort. They still haven't opened for booking next year, but if you'd like to stay there, let us know and we can arrange a pre-booking for you. Itamambuca is a great area to be located in general; however, because they are surrounded by Atlantic forest, it's a preserved area and there is not much infrastructure. Other areas nearby have loads to do though.

Itaguá: Only 11km away from the wedding venue, this area is full of bars, restaurants and stores. The Itaguá beach is not suitable for bathing though.

Praia Grande de Ubatuba: Not far from the venue, this beach is usually a lot busier, but there's also loads to do around there.

Perequê-Açu and Praia do Félix are also good options nearby.

Ubatuba is full of beautiful beaches and waterfalls. There are loads of articles online about places and what to do there. Let me know if you need some guidance! If you'd also like to enjoy your time in Brazil and go to other nearby places, we strongly recommend looking into Ilhabela, Paraty, Trindade, and of course, São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

Q&A

Q & A

If you have questions about anything related to the wedding or Brazil, we hope this Q&A can help. If your question is not answered here, just drop us a message and we will be happy to help!

Q: What should I wear? Is there a dress code?
A: We recommend a semi-formal/cocktail attire, for both the ceremony and the reception at the beach. We have added a few outfit ideas here!

Q: What will the weather be like?

A: In March starts the Autumn season in Brazil. In Ubatuba, the weather will likely be something between 25 and 34°C. However, do not forget that Brazil is a tropical country, so rain and cold breeze are always a possibility. Pack accordingly.

Q: Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

A: Both the ceremony and the reception will be outdoors (on the beach), unless the weather decides to surprise us.

Q: When is the RSVP deadline?

A: We understand there's a lot to plan when travelling to another country. However, it would be great if you could RSVP by December 2022.

Q: What if I have a dietary restriction?

A: If you have a dietary restriction, please let us know so we can make sure to address this with our caterer beforehand.

Q: How many days do you recommend being in Brazil?

A: Brazil is a huge (and amazing) country. We recommend you to stay for at least one full week, if possible. If you wish to stay longer than that and would like recommendations of places, hotels or anything else, let us know.

Q: What about wedding gifts?

A: Your presence is our biggest gift! We do not request or expect any presents.
